Autel IM608 Benz VVDI BE Key Invalid Solution

Customer Problem:

Every time I insert the Benz BE key into the ignition or key slot, the Autel IM608 displays an error — The current key is detected to be invalid.

I tested three different Xhorse VVDI BE keys(yellow board) and even replaced the XP400 Pro, but the issue remained the same. What should I do?

EOBDTool.co.uk' Engineer Answer:

The issue is not with the BE keys or the XP400 Pro, but something much simpler.

The real cause of this error is often a faulty or low-quality USB cable connected to the XP400 Pro programmer.

Use the original USB cable of the xp400 pro, it is enough.

Feedback:

The USB cable was bad. After changing to the original XP400 Pro cable, everything worked fine. No more 'invalid key' error!

If you are experiencing the “Invalid Key” error with VVDI BE keys on your Autel IM608, don’t rush to replace your keys or hardware. Instead, check and replace your USB cable with the original one that came with the XP400 Pro. This simple fix has resolved the issue for many users and can save you time and frustration.
